Dr. Hernandez is passionate about providing comfortable, patient-centered dental care highlighting the critical connection between oral health and overall well-being. With a career in dentistry spanning nearly three decades, he began practicing in his native Colombia in 1995 before moving to the United States in 2000.
Dr. Hernandez’s journey in U.S. dentistry began in Florida, where he worked as a dental hygienist while pursuing his dental license. After practicing in California for three years, he eventually settled in the St. Louis area, where he continues to serve his patients with expertise and compassion.
Fluent in Spanish and proud of his Colombian roots, Dr. Hernandez grew up as an impressive soccer player and remains active in his personal life. Outside the office, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Lisa, and their three children—Daniela, Isabella, and Nicolas. The family’s two rescued dogs, Hannah and Kevin, are always by their side for long walks and adventures.
A lover of great food, Dr. Hernandez’s culinary passion would have made him a chef had he not pursued dentistry. He particularly enjoys Thai cuisine and hosting cookouts for friends and family. Travel and cooking remain at the top of his list of hobbies, alongside spirited conversations about conspiracy theories and catching the latest episodes of his favorite podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience.
Dr. Hernandez is dedicated to staying at the forefront of his field by attending continuing education courses and keeping up with advancements in dental technology. His favorite quote, “I always tell the truth, even when I lie,” adds a touch of humor to his positive outlook on life and patient care.
